Hi everyone, I just bought the Ignition dance pad and In the Groove game on Saturday. So far I'm really enjoying the game and am using it for weight loss purposes.
I was wondering if anyone knows if the amount of calories they say you are burning is accurate? I played for an hour straight on Saturday and Sunday and burned about 900 calories each time according to the game. But I didn't feel extremely worn out or super sweaty like I do after going to the gym. I mean my legs were a little sore the next day until I got up and started walking around.
I plan on using it for at least an hour a day from here on out and hopefully throw in some weight training 2-3 times a week. From what I've read, hopefully the weight will start melting off.

Welcome. Unfortunately, ITG is horribly inaccurate when it comes to calories burned. Like at least 4x inaccurate (putting you at more like 175 calories burned). Don't let that discourage you, as long as you're working up a sweat, you'll get the results you want.

Ahhh.....that makes sense now. Thank you for letting me know. I went on the ITG website message boards and saw that apparently there was a decimal place error or something which is causing the incorrect calculations. It's a bummer that I wasn't burning that many calories, but that will just make me work harder.

Heres my take on it..13 days ago i weighed 209 so i got on a diet fast! I ate raisin bran for breakfeast tuna sandwiches or turkey sandwiches for lunch and lean cuisine for dinner. i gotta start adding some fruit soon though :/ anyway i played DDR for 1 hour next day my knees were on fire! they were so sore. anyway my advice 35 minutes a day and healthy food and lots of water. and now i weigh 198 am so happy! i know u can lose weight! but since today am going to be doing 15lb dumbells and jump roping 3 times a week. btw am 13. good luck! if u dont lose any weight in like 3 weeks u need to change something.

hey slipknot fan huh? i'm a huge fan! anyway, i eat an apple for breakfast everyday with like a handful of walnuts and a diet coke....lunch is usually a salad with light dressing, lean cuisine, a sugar free jello, and V8 juice. then i drink tons of water and have a 100 calorie pack around 3pm. for dinner i make different things, usually a lean meat with different veggies or rice. i'm doing ITG 3x per week @ 1hr each time.
