Just wondering what you guys all do when it gets so unbareably hot out that you just have no motivation? Lately here it's been in the upper 90s and 60%+ humidity... it's like living in a damn rainforest. BAH I cannot wait until winter... anyway I've just been dancing right along with it (at night) and I still get incredibly hot and sweaty and nasty... is it worth it? Am I losing more weight when it's hotter from sweating so much??

You do burn more calories when it's hot, I believe... not by too too much but you will burn more calories DDRing in a hot box than you would in an apartment with central air.
Myself, I just suck up the heat. It gets so unbearably humid in my apartment... but I still keep on dancing. I have a cheap-o fan I have aimed at myself when I play, which helps a bit. I just hop in the shower right afterwards, cause I get a bit, um, drenched.
Well, you'll lose more weight if you weren't to dance at all, remember that. Honestly, the best thing you can do is just try and ignore the heat, don't let it discourage you. Dancing in a rainforest is better than not dancing at all.

Yeah, where I DDR there's a ceiling fan. I hop in the shower right after too, it looks as if someone poured a bucket of water over my head and it dripped right down my shirt in the front/back. Ahahaha, betcha like THAT visual

Our AC was broken for several weeks (finally fixed, *whew*) but I also had a cheap box fan that I set up on the floor next to my dance pad and just had it blowing on me while I danced. I still got hot and gross, but at least the airflow kept me cooler than just trying to suck it up and sweat myself to death in the 90 degree, extremely humid weather. I also took an ICE COLD shower afterwards. It's amazing how water I would normally flee from in terror can feel so good after 2 hours of intense cardio. Make sure you're hydrating enough! The heat isn't really a big danger to you as long as you are drinking enough water, so keep a big glass near you while you play. UJKitten
