Hey everybody! New Question about stomach fat. Is there any way to lose it? without changing my diet? My diet consists of mainly asian foods. I run at least approximately six miles a day, but I've only started doing so for about three days. If I keep it up will I be able to see any results?? Especially in the stomach region? What can I do to get rid of this baby fat? Anyone know any excercises specific te the area of fat loss at the stomach? I am open to anything and am willing to try anything. Any routines in DDR I can try that might help? Playing with weights, etc. Thanks in advance you guys.

I've heard to help lose in that area that lots of cardio is good. But maybe some crunches?

you can't spot reduce... crunches will just build the muscle in your abs but it won't remove the fat that covers those beautiful abs

Here's the lousy thing about fat. Your body puts it on in a specific order, starting at your center of gravity (for men, right at the belly button hieght, for women, about two inches lower). When you lose weight, you lose it in the reverse order you put in on, which means that that last little ring around your midsection is the last to go.
Crunches can help firm up the muscle under the fat, which can help "hold it in" better, but you're not spot reducing (No matter what the AB Lounge commercial says).

i'm taking a nutrition class this summer semester at school and for the most part, our teacher showed us a presentation about fitness/nutrition scams....any of those ab machines, they don't tell you that you need to burn fat in order to show those abs. they just show you a fat person using it then all of a sudden they are toned up...they don't mention the diet change, aerobic, and length of time it takes to get your body into shape. it is a first amendment right to be able to advertise these things without being 100% clear.

Kinda depressin' how each thread about something wanes into something about bagels... I don't even really like bagels, and I'm Jewish.

Yeah, the bagel thing really needs to stay contained to just a few threads, rather than every thread (which is what it feels like is happening). Don't get me wrong, I'm all for inside jokes and community cliches and having fun, but it gets tedious after a while.
