Hi hi hi! I'm new to this site and love it so far! I've been trying to get in shape for about five years now and everytime I start and make some progress and hit a plateau I just end up calling it quits. But then my brother and his wife lost like 20 pounds playing DDR in three months and just not eating excessively or bad or anything so I'm giving it a shot. I was just looking for any tips or anything anyone can give... I have PS2 and DDRMax with an Intec foam pad. Tomorrow I'm going to start dancing for atleast an hour a day. Is this enough?? I'm so new... bah. Well any help is appreciated! ;D Feel free to reply or email or IM me Hmmm and I must definately get one of them ticker counter things! Oh and I was also looking for like a buddy person or something... yeah...

Welcome! It's always nice to have some new blood around here.
To answer your question, yes, a hour a day should be plenty to start with. Just make sure to play at a level that works up a good sweat without killing you.
