Playing from 30 minutes to 1 hour should be enough, provided your heart rate is getting up high enough (in the 24-27 beats in a 10 second count range). If you're not losing weight form this, then you'll definitely need to adjust your diet.
The plan you're thinking of spells nothing but disaster. Your body needs fuel to survive. If you'r food intake drops too low, your body will fight to conserver what reserves of energy you have, and will first try to reduce your calorice needs (by disposing of muscle first, and otherwise lowering your metabolism). This is bad. Not to mention that you won't stick to a plan like you've spelled out.
Remember, the weight didn't go on overnight, and it sure as heck ain't coming off overnight. You have to be willing to commit yourself to a lifestyle change to succeed.
Small changes add up fast. Cut out sugar drinks of all kinds (soda, sports drinks, juices). Stay away from fried foods. Stay away from simple starches (White foods, like potatoes, rice and white bread). Eat more fruits and vegetables. Eat lean meat and fish, and stay away from fatty meats. Allow yourself to indulge in a reasonable manner here and there.

sounds like you're not going to have any energy to play DDR, and if you do - you're going to get very dizzy and feel very sick....
less is NOT more - you're going to starve yourself, and crash real quick. eating that little puts your body into "starvation" mode. you won't lose weight at all - not healthy at ALL.
how much do you currently weigh? and are you male or female?

At your weight you should not go below about 1300 calories/day. At 1300, you'll lose plenty of weight, and you shouldn't feel hungry. And if at all possible, cut out the soda completely, not just cut back. That's going to lose you 20-30 lbs right there, with no other changes to your diet.
But seriously, I stand by my previous statement, just add those rules I listed, and the calories (and pounds) will take care of themselves. An unreasonable weight loss plan is worse than no plan at all, because you won't do it, and you'll feel bad about not doing it, or worse, you'll end up hurting yourself trying to keep up an impossible plan. You can't just go from 0-60mph instantly, you need to ramp it up a little at a time, and make the changes lifestyle changes. Otherwise, you're just going to put the pounds right back on when you stop.

You can still eat them, just moderate it a bit. As for protein, there's tons of ways to get protein. Lean meats (chicken, turkey, 92%lean ground beef, etc), Fish (any kind), nuts (peanuts and cashews are a little high in fat, but fine if you moderate your intake), even some beans.
