Better to wait until it's fully healed. It's much too easy to re-injure a half-healed injury. Plus, you run an additional risk of injuring your other foot, since you'll likely be favoring the injured one and putting additional strain on your uninjured foot. Given that it's foot pain, you may try taping your feet to see if you can give it some additional support. Get some 1"-2" wide medical tape and wrap the arch of your foot a couple of times and see if that helps the pain any.

I had the same problem when I started playing. I played too long, then my feet hurt like hell. I took a few days off of DDR, and they were fine. Then my knees started to hurt. I was limping, and I could barely walk. I took off another few days, and I was fine again.
Fortunately, the same didn't happen to my hips. I was born with a hip that was a bit malformed, and my body may have had trouble fixing that in the same way. Of course, the game really doesn't work the hips until you do Double, so maybe that pain is yet to come...

It might also factor in with my past injuries, I've broken my leg three times, last time was most serious. I broke my femur in 3 places about 4 years ago, Had to get a rod in to heal it and that got taken out about a year ago, doctor said I could resume any activity I wanted to .. hopefully tommorow my foot will feel better and I will be able to dance again.

I got my parents to pick me up some of those One A Day Dietary Supplement vitamin pills, and I was just checking if it's okay for me to use them. I'd figure it could help me out if I got more daily vitamins.

Just thought I'd update you guys a bit. Not much has changed really, cut the ddr down a bit, trying to get back up to speed. It seems like my legs are getting more and more used to it, however I come with a question, I'd like to know whats the best way to cool off after a session, I mean I used to shower after it but that gets a little time consuming, any other ideas?

Well, there's two kinds of cooling off, there's cooling your muscles by playing a few songs that are easy for you, or walking in place. That gets your heart rate back down, and lets your blood vessels contract back to a normal size. Stretching helps at this point as well, especially to help prevent later msucle soreness. Then there's cooling your body off, which I usually use a shower for (I sweat like mad when I play, so anything else really isn't an option)

You could also wake up early and play DDR in the morning. That leaves your afternoon free for the other games.
It also solves the shower problem because you would have showered before school anyway.

I mean no disrespect when I say this, but it sounds like you're making excuses not to workout or eat healthy. First you said you didn't like fruit or veggies, that's cool, you don't have to force your self to like stuff but it's going to be tuff by not learning to eat stuff like that. Second you said your legs or feet were bothering you, and this is also okay, if you're seriously hurt that's one thing but if you're just tired because you are not used to working out (this will happen) then that is a poor excuse to take time off. Everyone should rest but taking to much time off because you feel like you can't work out or you're feeling a little lazy sucks! How bad do you want this? Now you are saying you have a "new problem". Is it a "new problem" or do you just not want to do DDR and lose weight? You have to prioritize your life. I love video games and watching movies and sports but I also want to lose some weight. This leaves me with two options, put DDR on the back burner and play it once or twice a week or only 12 songs a day or play DDR almost everyday, watch what I eat and then if I have an empty slot of time do the other stuff. I did exactly what you are doing right now when I first got my DDR stuff. I got it thinking I’m going to do this and lose weight and it’s going to be easy. It’s never easy. I would say to my self, “Do I want to play DDR today after I just worked 8hrs and commuted through traffic or do I want to relax and play a video game?” I would pick to relax and play video games and try to make up for it by saying “I’ll do DDR tomorrow or I’ll do a handful of songs and say that’s enough for a workout". Well I finally prioritized losing weight and eating healthier and I never looked back. Now I’ve only been at this as long as you have, but this is my second try and I’m going to make the best of it. Video games will still be there on Saturday evening or after you’ve worked out. Please do not take what I just said the wrong way. If you put your mind to losing that weight......it will happen. Just don’t give up! Use some of the people on this site as motivation. People like abrannan, Laura Moncur, or iamjay. They have all been at this for awhile now. DDR and eating healthy has worked for them, just look at the weight they have lost!

Yeah I suck at life >_> I took an 8 day break and watched quite a lot of one piece in it's place.. I lack determination ^^.
On a side note, I started playing DDR Extreme the japanese version, and I notice that it counts my calories a lot less than the US versions of the games did >>

You may lack determination.....but you don't suck at life. I feel that it is impossible for anyone to suck at life. The act of living life is awesome. There are going to be tons of times in life where you are going to screw up or make a bad decision. It's what you take from that situation that's going to turn it into something awesome. Never tread on the negatives, move ahead and find the one thing that made the situation positive. Are you trying to lose weight for yourself or because someone else is telling you that you should? Do it for yourself! You got this all under control, take it slow and keep working at eating healthier and working out. Your pics are awesome!

You need to watch what you say about yourself. Even when it's a joke, your mind believes it on some level. Never say or write anything negative about yourself. Only be positive.
Think about your favorite person in the world... a beloved brother or sister, a beautiful girl who you want in your life, or a best friend. Now if someone said, "Yeah they really suck at life," you'd get pissed off and kick their ass. You need to be just as loyal and loving to yourself as you would to your favorite person in the world.

Yeah, way back when I was in elementry school I use to have mild hypochondriases. (sp?) I noticed that you bring yourself down some, and almost like you sound somewhat insecure. I'm not judging you, but from what I can tell, you would do/say some of the things that I use to when avoiding something.
