Hello. I am currently 18 years old and am 5'5 and weight around 240. I've played DDR on a soft pad around 2 years ago for a couple of months, but stopped when I found myself discouraged to keep playing due to a soft pad's limits. I recently purchased a cobalt flux metal pad, which I hopes comes around sometime in October. When it does arrive, I plan to lose around 60 pounds by summer.
I've read a lot of the threads before posting and have learned about the 20-25 beats per 10 secs and about only drinking around 8 glasses of water a day. I also read how bad orange juice is. I used to drink up to a carton a day if I had some in the fridge... Also last month my doctor gave me results from my blood test that I had around 240 cholesterol... which is supposedly really bad... I had a really high LCL but I had a decent HCL too, so I guess I need to work on lowering the LCL.
I'm going to enter college soon (sept 23rd) and my current class schedule is going to be 8am-12pm then 3-4pm on mon, wed, and fri. I'll have little classes on tuesday and no classes on thursday. I was wondering if dancing 3 hours a day is ok or a bit overdoing it? I hope I can keep to the limit of 8 glasses because I know I'll get really thirsty... I'll also try to count my calories and keep it to around 1000 a day and start eating breakfast as I have usually been sleeping in till 10:00 am this summer. I'll also be doing a significant amount of walking from class to class in college and I'm wondering if that will help out at all...
One last thing, I've been reading about eating eggs for breakfast? I think eggs have 50 mg of cholesterol each and was wondering if it's a good idea for me to be eating it with my current cholesterol state. Thanks for reading and any comments will be greatly appreciated!
