SingalError,
Hey man I know what you're going through. I too have finally decided to loose the excess weight with DDR. I'm 23 years old, 5'8 height and 266 pounds. I've purchased the Red Octane Ignition 2.0 Pad and haven't had a problem with it. I love it. I highly recommend it for you. For heavy guy like myself I'm currently doing quite well on heavy mode on several songs Dream a Dream, Twilight Zone, Dive, and Afronova. I do get winded after playing them, but its well worth the effort, because I love those songs.
Also, I'm glad that they have made a place so that we can post our results and share help with others. I'm a huge DDR fan and I'm looking forward to see weight drop. Many thanks to Konami for making such a great game and too Red Octane for making such an awesome pad. ;D

Hey guys, I'm officially starting my diet today!!! After nearly freaking out from the scale experience yesterday its time to get this body into shape for good. Just thought that I'd remind ya that I'll be keeping everything posted on my livejournal. I'll be including everything that I had for meals for the day and the length of time that I played DDR. www.livejournal.com/users/jubei23/

...i am like most you, i need to lose some weight...i like this forum with the support and stuff...
...with the whole soft pads, i found that for my money i really enjoy the konami ones. i just recently purchased two from redoctane.com for the ps2...
...the one for the xbox is really good...
...im kinda skepticle on the ignition ones mainly cause some people say they are good and some say they aren't good...
...for those who have it...how is the slipping? i know i used the mad catz one (not bad for beginners like me), but it just slid all over the place. i could be looking straight at my screen and in the end, end up 45 degrees away from the screen...
...anyways, i weight 239 right now and am 5'8", i wanna get down to under 200...with support from everyone, we can all reach and attain goals...
...the testimonials are just awesome...
...keep up the good work fellas...

Hey all.... I was just wondering...when you start to loose those inches and your pants start to fall down while you walk, when's the right time to get new pants, do you wait until you absolutely cannot keep them up anymore, or do you get new pants right away?

Hey Guys, For the wondering I haven't had a massive heart attack from playing DDR or fell of the face of the earth! I've been really busy with school and work, but everything is good now. I ordered a Treadmill from Smoothfitness.com and it finally arrived. I ordered the SP 5.0. It's a great piece of equiptment. Although a tad bit pricey, costed me right at $1,000.00 to get it shipped and everything. So now I'm doing both 45 minutes of walking on the treadmill at 3.0 speed and playing DDR excessively.Usually what I've been doing is do 10 minutes of stretching first and then do 45 minutes of walking and then its DDR time. After getting off the treadmill and then playing DDR makes you feel like your walking on air. Kinda like the feeling you get when you get off a bad ass rollercoaster. *loves that feeling* Well I just thought that I'd letcha know I'm still here rooting for yall. I've managed to loose 16 pounds so far in two weeks. WOOHOO! Good luck too all of yall and I'm gonna keep yall updated on my status.

im 14 and weigh about 130,so ure wondering why im posting here.well i though id just share some common sense tips. 1.Replace anything you drink with water its ok to have somthing else after while but overall drink water, its better for you it quinches your thirst more and if you play DDR then you have to prepare to workout by drinkin water. If you notice Diet frinks have Calories and water has absolutly nothing 2.Take vitamins, not really sure but you need your nutrition. 3. Watch what you eat. Dont eat fatty or greasy stuff i dont anyway cause i dont like it 4. Play often. Not just DDR but outdoor activities like biking or somthing like that. 5. Make time to play often. On Saturdays i play a lot and it really helps of you enjoy it and are determined to be a better player. 6.Wear weights when you play. only if you think you can do it start with like 3 pound weights and ankle weights when you play. It helps Build mucle endurance and helps raised you efficency.
I really hope this helps and good luck ;D(ill post more common sense ideas if i think of any)

also have a hobby. mine is guitar, it takes your mind off of the game for a while and gives you time to rest. Another big thing is motivation. If your not motivated to dko somthing then you might as well not do it. For peolple who started out like me watching the advance peolple play and wishing i could do that, then watch them play! And for the overweight peolple, look and admire Tanya's story and how skinny and hot she is compared to what she use to look like. I thought she was hot and i was stunned on what she had lost.
ATTENTION: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOU FALLING OVER AND DYING DUE TO HEART FAILIER DUE TO READING THIS GUIDE WHETHER DIRETLY (DYING SITTING THERE READING THIS) OR INDIRECTLY (DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THINKIN ABOUT MY TIPS AND SWERVE OFF THE ROAD)
