I'm setting up the match on Thursday morning 7 am Eastern (meaning 5am Mountain for me and 4am Pacific for Darth).
Current Players: Sinistar Laura Moncur Wadely
Pyrochaos, did I understand you correctly? Are you going to be our fourth player on Thursday morning?

You called me Darth, lol! I take it you got my friend invite. I prefer just going by Wadely, but some dork already had Wadely registered on Live (Doesn't he know that I am the one and only Original Wadely?!?!?).
Sinistar threw me an invite this weekend, so, assuming you accepted my invite, I have both of you on my friends list and will do my damnedest to by up and ready to DDR at 4:00 this Thursday. I've never played DDR on Live, but I assume that I would just search for a game with friends and that's how I'd see you?

Either that or Laura will send you a game invitation from within Ultramix inviting you into the match she sets up.

I'm in the Pacific time zone and don't get home from work and available to play until about 6:45 or so. If any time from about 6:45 to 8:30 Pacific time works for you, send me a friend request and let me know what time you want to play. Be warned, though, I'm not very good. I can only count on clearing most light 3-footers. I've cleared a couple light 4-footers, but can't do most of those most of the time yet.

We learned the value of Private slots this morning. AZN DRIVER and Amandapwns kept jumping in and out, making our games reset.
And I am now on a quest to figure out why we were getting such insance echo on our Communicator headsets. Everytime Laura talked, my Communicator icon showed that I was broadcasting! I had to mute it to break the cycle. But then I noticed the same thing happening with Wadely's icon. So far, however, I haven't found anything addressing this phenomenon. What kind of headset is everybody using?
Thanks for hosting this morning, Laura!

What kind of headset is everybody using? Thanks for hosting this morning, Laura! Private sessions = much better I don't claim to be even moderately good at this game yet, but I normally play much better than I did this morning. I've just never had so many arrows (3-4 players) on the screen at once, nor have I been on anything but the left of the screen. That's the only think I can think to blame for me constantly losing my place. Hmm... that or the fact that I only slept 3 hours and was up at 3:30 to play DDR. NAH! It couldn't be THAT! As for the communicator issue, I didn't hear any feedback or echo. I did see my name flash every once in a while as if I was talking, even though my mic was muted, but that doesn't happen to me in any other game. My headset is a Plantronics M175. It's the same headset I use in all my other games and there's never a problem, so don't think it would be the headset. The only problem I noticed with the communicator was that you were both VERY quiet, even though I had it turned all the way up. That's not a problem in other games either. If the communicator weirdness happens again next week, we'll need to take a few minutes off from the DDRing to troubleshoot (I can unplug my communicator entirely and see if the problem still happens for you and Laura). My Headset: www.plantronics.com/north_america/en_US/products/cat1210219/cat1210189/prod440124Just had a thought.. I've used the same headset and communicator in many games, but I've never used a communicator at all with my DDR pad before (control box for my CF build out of a GameStop brand soft pad). Maybe that cheap pad just had sucky circuitry for the communicator ports? There's another thing to try next week, I could switch from my pad to my controller to see if that helps with the audio issues.

Since it was my voice echoing, I'm worried that it's my headset. Today, I tried the headset that came with the Xbox membership and my cheap MadCatz headset. Since it happened with both of them, I'm wondering if it's my pad or the extension cord causing the problem.
The first time Sinistar and I played together, we had no problems. The second time, Sinistar's headset was breaking up (it sounded like a cellphone in a dead spot). This time we had the mad mad mad echoing effect. All three times, I played with my Red Octane pad and the headset that came with the online membership, except today, I tried the Mad Catz headset when there was a problem. Whatever it is, it's getting worse.
If it happens again, I'll pull out my Mad Catz pad and see if it's the pad. If it's the headphone extension cord, I don't know what I'm going to do. I don't know if I have another one of those.

I am feeling so bad for telling AZN Driver to go away. He left right after I said it and I was worried to death that it was someone from the boards who decided to join us. It's just that he kept breaking up the game every time he left it and we had to reset. I like the idea of having an open game where we can just invite people in, but that was just a pain in the toosh.

Pyrochaos,
Do you want to play DDR-U2 with me tonight so I can see if it's my headset causing the trouble? I worked out for a good half hour this morning, so I don't know how much I'll be able to do tonight, but it would help to know if it was me causing the trouble...
