Do you think that there will be another DDR for the PS2, or will it remain stagnant and Konami will wait for PS3?
I for one hope that there's one more to send off the system. I want cool new songs that aren't filler and ONLINE! Sheesh, i'm getting an Xbox for the very reason that I want online DDR! So many GUMers play online and I want to be one too!

Personally, I think they'd be silly not to. Given the announcements earlier this year of the numbers of DDR sold last year in the US, along with this year's releases of In the Groove and Pump it Up, Konami almost has to release a new DDR for the PS2 if they want to keep their crown as the dancing game champ. My guess is we'll hear an announcement at E3 in May, with a release in November (same as it's been the last three years).

Its a dancing game in which there is a center button and buttons on the corners you must hit. I played it once over the summer at the arcade. DDR rules over it. But still it was pretty fun.

It's another dancing game made by a Korean company, Andamiro. As noted, it's a five "arrow" layout (1,3,5,7,9 on a number pad). The music is mostly K-pop, and they tend to do a lot more Dance classical (Think Kakumei, V). The arrow layout lends itself to a bit more of a "steppers" game, since there are so many more combinations and sequences of 5 arrows than of four. Playing it ends up feeling like a foreign language when you're used to DDR.

Here's my take on it. I think PIU is more of a challenge in the sense that it has more difficulties. After asking a few friends why they think DDR is harder than PIU, they say 'because it forces you to turn sideways more'. I don't get that. Pump it up is much harder.
I play DDR nonstop at home, friday nights I play PIU at the arcade with friends til it closes... it's all good.

I Love PIU for many Reasons.
1. Much, Much, Much Better Music IMO. DDR Music is good and all, but PIU music is beond godly for me. Dignity has to be the best song I've ever heard.
2. It just feels much more natrual.
3. With Pump, Theres Endless freestlye tricks. The most i've ever seen in ddr is mabye a spin and a knee drop. In pump, There are spins out the anus, possibitys for handstands, cartwheels and i've even seen a few flips and stuff.
IMO Pump is much better. WEhen it comes out for ps2, im like never leaving my house. EVER.
