hi there. i'm new to ddr, and i just bought ddr max for ps2. i was having a lot of fun with it but a very weird thing happened and i'm not sure if it's normal: i was really getting into that song "Rhythym and Police" and practicing it in training mode. when i stopped playing and turned it back on to play a few days later, that song was completely gone from the memory like it never existed. it's not in ANY mode at all. did this happen because unlocking another song replaced that one? any ideas how to get my current favorite song back? if this has happened to you and/or you know what to do to fix it, pleasepost a reply or email me (preferred) ASAP at ash12@humboldt.edu. Thanks guys!

My theories: you corrupted your save (turned off the game in mid save), you did not have autosaving on and forgot to save, or you are using some unreliable 3rd party memory card. Just get it back again by playing enough songs. It is one of the first unlocks, so it should not take very long.

Yeah a good way to unlock songs and get some brain work going is playing with a controller. Although you are playing with your fingers, you are still working on figuring out where the beats are. This really helps me practice for the harder songs. But sometimes it can be a tedious process, specially if you know you had the songs at one point.

I don't mean to be a jerk or anything, but what does that have to do with the question?

If you've got a corrupt save it's sometimes easier to play with the controller, particularly if you can play heavy mode well enough to get AAs (Unlock things faster) on the controller.

Uh... I don't mean to be a jerk or anything, but what does that have to do with the question? I was actually referring to sly's post. Was kinda going on a small tangent, or trying to make re-unlocking the songs sound more useful.

Play 10 more songs. And remember, on heavy, it goes...
Duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh.
Then...
Da - daDA -daDA -daDA -daDA -daDA -daDA -daDA -daDA -daDA -daDA -daDA -daDA -daDA -daDA -daDA
